What To Expect
You
will be greeted by a volunteer who has been through an application
process that includes recommendations, interviews, a criminal
background check, and training on caring for children appropriate
to your child's age. Upon your first
visit you will be asked to fill out a brief database form so
your child can be placed on our check-in list. Usually
starting the very next week, your child will be on the check in list
and their name tag will be hanging up on the bulletin board.
In order to capture the interest of your child we have
designed Kid Quest to be fun and
exciting. Below you will see a list of just some of the
things your child will be apart of.

We have a clearly defined “Wet Zone” where the children
might get squirted by a water gun.
We sing songs that wake the kids up
and gives them the opportunity to shout before the Lord in
praise.
Blacklight Story Time is a visually fun way to
teach a Bible story with blacklight signs, character voices and
sound effects.
Rock-and-Roll Story Time uses popular rock hits that highlight the
Bible story and God’s message of love to the kids.
Skits
are another way children can be entertained while learning God’s
truth’s as well as life issues.
Teams try to win by matching the words
of the weekly bible memory verse on an oversized Tic-Tac-Toe style
game board.
1st and 2nd grade will
enjoy participating in various types of crafts that help reinforce
the lesson for the day.
Kids
break out into small groups based on their grade and take what they
have seen and heard and apply it to their own lives. Each adult small group
leader is dedicated to creating a safe environment for the children
to open up, share thoughts and feelings, learn how to develop
relationships and understand how to use the
bible.
Prize
Room
We
want children to be motivated to come to church and learn as well as
participate. So we use a reward system that encourages things
like bringing a bible, memorizing scripture, and bringing a
friend. For each thing accomplished your child receives a
"Squiggie". They can use these "Squiggies" to get prizes at
the end of each worship hour.
We encourage parents to go to the prize room
(room C210) with their child after Kid Quest. It is up to you
how often your child goes to the prize room and what items they
can redeem. "Squiggies" can be a great opportunity to
teach children about the benefits of sharing and
saving.
Kidztown
Kidztown
is a place where kids take their parents to learn. It is
a 30-minute weekly program for kids and their parents that uses
music, drama, and storytelling to entertain and inspire. Check it
out! Kidztown
